Paris Fashion Week · A Qatari Princess · PeptiDermax
During my travels around the world, I have met many extraordinary people, including princes and princesses, but this encounter in Paris was truly exceptional.
THE SECRET OF A QATARI PRINCESS
It happened during one of the most dazzling weeks of the year…
I came to France for Paris Fashion Week, where, as a travel influencer with an audience of over a million followers — which, as it turned out, was appreciated in Paris as well — I was invited to several exclusive fashion presentations, private parties, and events attended by designers, celebrities, and international creators.
Paris was overflowing with fashion designers, businesspeople, and influential figures. Black limousines pulled up in front of the most prestigious hotels. Photographers waited behind velvet ropes. Everywhere I looked, I saw spectacular outfits, oversized sunglasses, diamonds, and people rushing from one show to the next.
I was staying near the Champs-Élysées thanks to my friend Laura, who works with some of the most exclusive hotels in Europe.
During Fashion Week, finding a beautiful apartment in central Paris at the last minute is almost impossible — and yet, somehow, Laura managed to do it.
Unfortunately, she herself was working almost non-stop. The influx of designers, celebrities, influencers, and their entire teams meant that she barely had a moment to herself.
And so, one afternoon, I unexpectedly found myself alone in Paris.
That morning, while we were still having coffee together, Laura suddenly looked at me as though she had just remembered something.
“What place?”
Laura smiled mysteriously.
“The kind of place people are not really supposed to talk about.”
I thought she was joking. But then she reached into her handbag and took out a small card, almost like an invitation.
“You won’t find this place in ordinary guidebooks,” she said. “You won’t see any advertisements for it. The people who go there are mostly those who… know that it exists.”
“Who exactly?”
Laura shrugged. “Very wealthy people. Royal families. Guests of the finest hotels. People for whom luxury does not mean a logo on a giant sign, but privacy.”
I looked at the address again. “And I can simply walk in?”
“Show them this card.”
That was all. She told me nothing more.
AN ADDRESS IN CENTRAL PARIS YOU WON’T FIND IN THE GUIDEBOOKS
I put on my favorite pink suit, which I had bought during a spring trip to Zermatt in Switzerland. To this day, I remember the purple Alpine crocuses blooming beneath the mighty Matterhorn when I first saw it in the window of a boutique.
That afternoon, Paris was warm and filled with light.
After leaving the hotel, I headed toward Avenue Montaigne.
During Fashion Week, this part of Paris feels almost unreal. The windows of the great fashion houses gleamed like jewelry boxes. Chauffeurs waited beside Rolls-Royces and Bentleys. Women in extraordinary creations disappeared behind discreet doors guarded by impeccably dressed doormen.
A few minutes later, I reached the address on the card Laura had given me.
And I almost walked straight past it.
There was no large logo. No window display filled with advertising. There was not even a name visible from the other side of the street.
At the entrance, there was only a small golden emblem. Two doormen stood by the door.
I handed one of them Laura’s card. He looked at it. Then at me. And without saying a word, he opened the door.
I stepped inside.
PARIS’S MYSTERIOUS BOUTIQUE
The interior looked like a palace created especially for shopping. Crystal chandeliers hung from ceilings decorated with delicate golden ornaments. Marble floors reflected the light from enormous glass display cases.
Rare perfumes were presented beneath illuminated glass domes. Handbags were placed on velvet pedestals like works of art. Jewelry sparkled beneath tiny spotlights.
In another room, champagne was served beside displays of luxury accessories. There were even private salons hidden behind velvet curtains, reserved for the most exceptional clients.
This was not an ordinary store. It was a place where prices were rarely displayed on tags. If you had to ask the price, perhaps you were not the kind of customer the place had been created for.
I knew that in places like this, people do not use smartphones, record videos, or film other guests. That kind of discretion is simply understood.
So I slowly wandered through the rooms, fascinated.
AND THEN I SAW THE QATARI PRINCESS
She was standing beside a magnificent cosmetics counter decorated with golden peacock feathers and hundreds of tiny lights.
She wore an elegant traditional outfit that fell softly around her figure. Several assistants were packing her purchases into beautifully decorated boxes. Nearby, a few members of her personal security team stood discreetly, carefully observing the surroundings.
There was something extraordinary about this woman. She was no longer very young, and yet her face seemed to glow. Her skin looked remarkably smooth, fresh, and luminous.
She carried the calm confidence of someone accustomed to entering rooms where everyone immediately knows who she is. There was a genuine aura of royalty around her.
I watched her for several seconds. Finally, I gathered my courage and stepped closer.
“Excuse me, Madame…”
The woman turned toward me. She looked at me carefully. For a second, I thought she was about to say something. Then suddenly, her face lit up.
“Anna?”
I froze. “Yes…”
And then something happened that I had absolutely not expected.
“Anna! I’m so happy to see you,” she said with a broad smile. “I’ve been watching your vlog for years!”
I knew that many famous and influential people followed my channel, but actually meeting one of them in person was an adventure in itself.
All the tension disappeared in an instant. Only a few moments earlier, I had been wondering whether I should approach her at all. Now we were talking like two women who had known each other for far longer.
And then I said what I had thought from the very first moment.
“I have to tell you something. Your skin is absolutely extraordinary.”
She smiled. “Really?”
“Really. It looks incredibly fresh. Smooth. Radiant. May I ask… what is your secret?”
She looked at me with amusement. “Ah, Anna. Every woman wants to know that secret.”
“MY HUSBAND IS A QATARI SHEIKH”
Our conversation quickly turned to travel, Europe, and Poland.
“My husband is one of the most important Qatari sheikhs. We belong to the royal family,” she explained at one point.
She told me about her family’s many travels and international business interests. She knew Warsaw, Kraków, and Zakopane. She was also a frequent visitor to Paris for fashion shows and shopping.
And it was France and Poland that brought us back to the subject of her remarkable skin.
“Do you remember asking about my complexion?” she said.
“Of course.”
She looked toward a woman in her entourage, who handed her a small case. The princess opened it. Inside were several small laboratory containers.
No luxury packaging. No gold logo. No product name. Just samples.
“This is one of the things I’ve been using lately,” she said.
I looked at her in surprise. “What is it?”
“Technically, it is still nothing you can actually buy.”
And then she told me a story I had not expected at all.
THE SECRET OF A FRENCH-POLISH LABORATORY
The samples had come from a laboratory operating in Poland. But it was not an ordinary cosmetics laboratory.
It was working with a French partner based near Paris — a place connected with an extraordinarily long tradition, stretching back around 250 years, of creating and developing specialist raw materials.
It was in France that exceptional ingredients were developed for use in some of the most advanced cosmetic formulations. The Polish laboratory, meanwhile, was working on combining modern technology with these exceptional ingredients.
Several months earlier, the princess had received a small batch of samples. They were not intended for sale. They did not yet have a name. They did not come in elegant boxes. They were simply an experimental skincare formulation.
“And this is what you use?” I asked.
“Yes. I’ve grown very fond of these samples.”
For quite some time, we talked about cosmetics. About travel. About how skin changes after long hours on an airplane. About air-conditioned hotels. About dry air. About long events and meetings.
About a situation I knew all too well: after a flight lasting many hours, you have to step off the plane, go straight to a hotel or a meeting and… look as though the journey had never happened at all.
At one point, the princess looked at me and suddenly smiled.
“Anna… I have an idea.”
“WHY DON’T YOU HAVE YOUR OWN COSMETIC PRODUCT YET?”
“You know what?” she said. “You should visit that laboratory.”
I laughed. “Me?”
“Of course you.”
I looked at her in surprise. “Why?”
“Because I’ve been wondering for a long time why you don’t already offer something like this.”
“Like what?”
“A beautiful and effective cosmetic product. Something of your own.”
I fell silent. I had never thought about it that way before.
“But I’m not a chemist,” I replied.
The princess laughed. “And that is a very good thing. Chemistry is for chemists.”
She reached for a small piece of paper. She wrote down a name. A phone number. And a contact at the laboratory in Poland. Then she handed it to me.
“Call them.”
I looked at the paper. “And what should I say?”
“Tell them we met in Paris.”
She smiled. “The rest may be the beginning of something interesting.”
A few minutes later, someone from her entourage discreetly reminded her that she had an important meeting. We said goodbye. I watched her leave with her entourage.
And in my hand, I was still holding the small piece of paper with a phone number in Poland.
I knew that Poland is now a highly developed economy, home to European headquarters of many well-known companies, while numerous recognized startups have their roots there. It is a country where innovation meets a respect for nature and the environment, culture, and public safety. People around the world are increasingly recognizing and appreciating this. Some even want to move to Poland and make it their home.
The phone number written down for me by the Qatari princess, whose husband did business in Poland, became the beginning of a new story.
THE PHONE CALL THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
When I returned to Poland, the card was still in my handbag.
For several days, I kept moving it from one place to another. I looked at the number. Put it away. Then came back to it again.
Finally, I called.
The conversation lasted far longer than I had expected. Then came the first meeting. The second. And more after that.
I began explaining to the team exactly what I was looking for.
I did not want another ordinary cream. I did not want a product created simply because it “looked good on the shelf.”
I wanted a cosmetic product for people who live intense lives. For women and men who travel by plane. For people who work in air-conditioned environments. For those who sleep too little, cross time zones, attend meetings, events and dinners, and sometimes work long, exhausting hours.
A cosmetic I myself would want to reach for after a long flight, before leaving the hotel.
And that was when the real work began.
SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW BEGAN TO TAKE SHAPE IN THE LABORATORY
The first samples did not even have names. They were simply identified by numbers.
I wanted them to contain everything that had been in the samples created for the Qatari princess, but also something more — something that could revolutionize cosmetology.
Formula number one. Formula number two. Formula number three.
We tried. We changed proportions. We went back to the laboratory. We tested new solutions.
At the heart of the concept were peptides and nanopeptides combined with advanced ingredients used in modern cosmetic formulations.
Among them was Argireline®, which had also been present in the princess’s samples, but a second ingredient — one that remains a secret — was developed together with the Polish laboratory.
Then came further carefully selected formulation components. Each one had its place. Each one performed a specific cosmetic function.
And there was one thing I wanted above all: for the final product to become something I genuinely wanted to use every single day.
After several more months, one sample appeared that made all of us stop for a little longer.
I remember holding it in my hand for the first time.
I thought: This is it.
But the product still had no name.
THAT IS HOW PEPTIDERMAX WAS BORN
In the evenings, I wrote down idea after idea. I wanted the name to evoke what stood at the heart of the entire concept.
Peptides. Modernity. Something powerful and exceptional.
And finally, the name appeared:
The first time I saw it written down, I knew it was going to stay.
Then came the packaging. I wanted black. Gold. Elegance. Minimalism. A cosmetic product that could look perfectly at home both in a Parisian hotel suite and on a woman’s shelf in Warsaw, Kraków, London, or Dubai.
After many months of work, what had begun as a small laboratory sample shown to me in a hidden Parisian boutique became a real product.
PeptiDermax was ready.
Then we added the IN designation, meaning “Instead of Needle,” to express the idea of a cosmetic alternative for people who do not want injections.
My PeptiDermax cream and serum were finally ready.
LAURA RECEIVED ONE OF THE VERY FIRST JARS
Of course, one of the first people I showed it to was my friend from Paris, Laura.
Because if it had not been for her… I would never have received that address. I would never have entered that mysterious boutique. I would never have met the princess. And perhaps PeptiDermax would never have existed.
“Do you remember that card you gave me in Paris?” I asked her.
“Of course.”
I placed the black-and-gold packaging in front of her. She looked at it. Then at me.
“I don’t believe it.”
“This is what that card led to.”
Laura began using PeptiDermax. Later, her boyfriend became interested in it too.
“Can I try it as well?” he asked one day.
And that was when I realized something else. Why should it be a cosmetic product only for women?
Skin does not ask about gender. Travel. Dry air. Air conditioning. Fatigue. Everyday stress. They affect everyone.
From the very beginning, PeptiDermax had the potential to be a unisex cosmetic product.
FIRST POLAND. THEN FRANCE.
At first, only a small number of people knew about PeptiDermax. Then one woman recommended it to another. And that woman recommended it to someone else.
Soon their partners wanted to know where that luminous, glowing complexion and the firmer-looking skin of the face and neck were coming from. Men began using the product too.
Then more orders started coming in. First from Poland. Then from France.
And later, something began happening that particularly amused me. A certain pattern kept repeating itself…
Women would buy the cosmetic… and after a while, their partners would start stealing it from them.
Husbands. Boyfriends. Men who initially insisted: “I don’t need any creams.”
And a few weeks later, they would ask: “Where is that black jar?”
“He wants skin like mine. He tells me I look as though I’m sixteen again — just like when we first met at school in Kraków — and now he really wants to look younger too.”
“He has a very intense job at a well-known corporation. Of course, it is lucrative and we are happy with it, but it comes with its own demands and consequences: sleepless nights, long-haul flights, followed by air-conditioned rooms and hours of meetings.”
“So just like me,” Laura said, “we need your cream and serum. And since you have already given me several jars, now I would like to actually buy PeptiDermax from your online store, with delivery — from your shop on the AnnaMarisax website.”
